Woven Image introduces new sustainable, on-trend and design driven acoustic finishes through the theme Macro Rhythms. Reflecting on rapidly evolving commercial interiors, this theme embraces sensory perception to positively engage occupants in a visual, tactile and aural experience on a macro scale.

Commercial interiors are scaled to new levels of comfort, class and sophistication as two new floor-to-ceiling 3D formed panel solutions Column and Curtain are introduced along with five beautifully tactile EchoPanel® Precision Cut designs made of the newly improved 80% post-consumer recycled PET content.

Decommissioned and otherwise deemed idle manufacturing equipment was modified and re-purposed to produce the highly sought after Woven Image Embossed Panel collection. Evolving and innovating this manufacturing equipment further, combined with new techniques and expertise in 3D acoustic tile forming products such as Ascent and the Fuji series, Column and Curtain are Woven Image’s first floor-to-ceiling 3D formed acoustic panels.

As the name suggests Column is inspired by the undulating symmetrical rhythms of the awe-inspiring classical architectural innovation. Due to the design of wave-like peaks and troughs coupled with a depth of approximately 70mm and a combination of non-woven raw materials, significant airgaps are captured in a direct fix wall application providing an acoustically superior solution for open plan commercial interior spaces.

Curtain, the asymmetrical cousin to Column, takes on a more freeform fluid appearance. Designed with an airgap in direct fix wall applications, it displays as a contemporary acoustic macro “curtain effect” where the non-woven materials appear to ebb and flow across a three-dimensional form.

Curtain creates a unique visual delight while delivering strong acoustic performance. Available in 8 stocked colours, the same signature Woven Image colour palette as Column and subsequently driven from the hero colour palette of EchoPanel 12mm and Mura. Including Woven Image’s signature marle effect mushroom, warm nutmeg reminiscent of a classic wood tone, dusk a beautifully subtle pinky hue, fresh sorbet mint, indigo navy, lush vineyard green, classic cream and the subtle cool neutral frost, completes the palette. As the boundaries of standard interior surfaces are continually pushed, Curtain is an elegant solution which embraces this concept in its aesthetic, acoustic and sustainable performance.

Additionally, 5 new precision cut designs in newly developed 80% post-consumer recycled PET EchoPanel® 12mm are also released as part of the Macro Rhythms theme. Pushing the boundaries and capabilities of CNC technology; Isle, Orb, MosaicParquet and Current are introduced. These designs take on the macro theme in floor-to-ceiling application repeating panel to panel via the Woven Image signature chamfer on the vertical sides of the panels to support ease of installation without any need for additional trimming onsite. Each new design is available in the full EchoPanel® 12mm colour palette, and also come in 24mm in select colours.

Referencing the current fashion trend for checks, plaids and tartans, Isle is a precision cut geometric grid style design. Textural variation is created within the grid via an offset linework along with varying depths of v-groove cuts. A macro style elegant tartan design, Isle also imitates classic hard ceramic tilework surfaces whilst providing a more comforting sensory experience within a commercial interior space.

EchoPanel Orb 495 Hero Image 2.jpg

Orb encompasses a simplicity of form whilst referencing an influence from the contemporary Art Deco style, evoking feelings of nostalgia and familiarity. A bold circular shape is repeated across the panel utilising v-groove cuts to give a subtle textural variation creating a sophisticated modern design. Central linework intersecting the Orb motif allows for a seamless pattern match panel to panel for continuous application along a wall. Accented with Gem embossed panels, Fuji Juni or Array Viaduct ceiling baffles to compliment the design language  of Orb.

EchoPanel Mosaic 573 Hero Image.jpg

Mosaic, as often associated with stained glass windows, is influenced by combining the signature styles of Chagall with Mondrian’s simplicity. This v-groove precision cut design offers a unique offset asymmetrical appearance on a macro scale. Exploring intersecting vertical linework with ad hoc angles an irregular freeform geometric effect is created. Borderlines are prominent as depicted in stained glass windows and art deco style edge trims. Teamed with printed panels such as Michael Young’s Mineral design, room division Pendent Tandem and upholstery fabric Focus Wave can be easily coordinated for total floorplate solutions.

Continuing the Art Deco theme, coupled with the trend for large scale geometric interlocking shapes, Parquet arrives on the scene. Subtle variation in altering the angle of precision cut v-grooves combined with straight line cuts creates a unique 3D effect where the design appears to project forth from the panel. Depending on the viewers position, they receive a unique visual experience of Parquet’s contemporary tessellated design.

Sensory design is the very essence of Current, which has a mindful calming effect reminiscent of ocean shorelines. Fluid flowing linework meanders vertically instilling a peaceful comforting experience. A classic sophisticated simplicity accented with product such as Focus Hoop, Flow acoustic ceiling baffles, Current is the understated acoustic wall panel solution for tranquil serenity.

The Macro Rhythms collection brings new acoustic finishes designed to cue positive visual, tactile and aural perceptions. They’re sensorial influence is an understated benefit to commercial interiors that promotes desirable emotions and behaviours, shaping a more positive experience of the indoors, on a macro scale.
